Knoxville is buzzing with excitement for this basketball season, as Tennessee is ranked No. 6. Here is an in-depth season preview.

This countdown concludes with my favorite Tennessee basketball player of all-time. Josh Richardson. I always really enjoyed watching Josh play with the the Vols. After he had already solidified himself as my favorite Vol of all-time, he joined my favorite NBA team, the Miami Heat.

Wayne Chism is an all-time great Vol and he is my second favorite Tennessee basketball player of all-time for multiple reasons.

Admiral Schofield is entering his senior season at Tennessee, after opting not to enter the NBA Draft a year early. He makes up half of the peanut butter and jelly combo, alongside Grant Williams.

My brother and I were always a huge fans of Jarnell Stokes. He was a dominant force in the paint and for years, he was my second-favorite player on the team. There was much to like about Jarnell. He was friendly to fans, but frightened opposing teams.

Scotty Hopson was one of the most beloved Vols of my childhood. He always played with a certain swag, which is one of the reasons I was drawn to him. He could consistently knock down 3-pointers and similar to several of the players on this list, he could throw down amazing dunks.

Some of my fondest memories of Tennessee basketball include Jordan McRae. He was a terrific ball handler and an even better scorer. His athleticism was always on full display, with a countless number of high-flying dunks during his Tennessee career.

J.P. Prince was an elite guard who had a fabulous career at Tennessee.

Kevin Punter had such a unique, incredible career at Tennessee and that's why he is my eighth favorite basketball Vol of all-time. I was fortunate enough to have some personal experiences with Kevin, making his spot on my list an even easier choice.

When I think of Skylar McBee, I think of a great 3-point shooter. Whether I was in Thompson-Boling Arena for the game, or watching from home, it seemed as if every 3-point shot he put up had a chance of going in.

Grant has played just 2 seasons with the Vols thus far, but his play in that short time has earned him a spot in the top-10 of my all-time favorite players.

Tobias Harris quickly became a fan-favorite in Knoxville, as his dominant play made it evident that he would be bound for professional basketball.
