Tennessee and Kentucky meet in Neyland Stadium on Saturday at 3:30. The Wildcats are 7-2 and are coming off a 34-17 loss to Georgia last week. The Vols haven't lost to Kentucky at home since 1984. This is a big game for the Vols' if they wish to make a bowl game.
Kentucky's Terry Wilson has completed 123-182 pass attempts this season (67.6%), for 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He has also carried the ball 100 times for 418 yards and 3 scores. Benny Snell is the backbone of the Wildcats' offensive attack, as he has totaled 1,008 yards and 10 touchdowns on 199 carries this year. Wide receiver, Lynn Bowden Jr. leads Kentucky with 49 receptions for 509 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Wildcats score 24.7 PPG and allow just 15.3 per game. Their offense averages 356.3 yards per game and their defense gives up 311.8 yards per game. Kentucky only passes for 156.8 yards per game, so it will be key for the Vols to be able to stop Benny Snell. If they do, Tennessee gives their offense a better chance of winning. Still, it all depends on how efficient the offense can be and how well the offensive line can protect Guarantano. I don't have a good feeling about this game, but hopefully I am wrong.
